Now in its 36th year, the Fox-Adler Lecture Series continues its legacy of celebrating literature, art, and the book arts with an exclusive, invitation-only evening on September 16, 2025.
The series is named for Norman M. Fox and Hannah Moriarta Adler, esteemed connoisseurs and collectors of rare books. Adler first loaned her extensive collection of 19th-century illustrated volumes to Skidmore College in 1967. Following her passing, Fox and his family became stewards of the collection, ultimately donating it permanently to Skidmore’s Lucy Scribner Library in the 1990s.
Today, the Fox-Adler series is coordinated by Catherine Golden, professor of English at Skidmore, and has become a cornerstone of Saratoga Springs' literary and visual culture.
This year’s lecture will be open to the public on the Skidmore campus offering a thought-provoking discussion and cultural enrichment.
